SERVICES & DELIVERY

OVERVIEW

Buying a safe through us insures that your safe is inspected by our staff in our facility before we deliver or ship it on to you.  Therefore, we can guarantee your safe will be in the same factory condition as when we deliver it to you.  

 

Customers from outside of our delivery service area will be handled as per the following:

 

In Stock:  C.E. Safes will contract with one of our shipping partners to have the safe shipped from our stock in Florida.


Factory Order:  C.E. Safes will contract with one of our shipping partners to ship the completed order from the factory.

OUT-OF-AREA SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Curbside:  Safe will be delivered by common carrier and unloaded via lift-gate onto a flat, paved surface as close to a covered area, like a garage, as possible. The carrier is not responsible for bringing the item inside your home or business. Standard access for the carrier’s truck is a paved street, room for wide turns, straight driveway under 50 feet in length, minimal or no incline. Any exceptions to this, please let us know in advance.  Although damage during shipment is rare, you should carefully inspect your shipment prior to signing the Bill of Lading. If, upon inspection, you notice any damage, you have 2 options.

Minimal acceptable damage:  rips or tears in packaging, small dents in wrap. If the damage is minor and you are willing to accept the safe with no exceptions noted, it releases the carrier from claims for damages.

Extensive or unacceptable damage:  Do not sign the Bill of Lading. Instead, have the driver write “REFUSED, DAMAGED” on the Bill of Lading and contact us immediately. Photos are also helpful in assisting with filing a damage claim.

 

Delivery & Install:  Many of our customers are able to arrange for the placement and install of their safe, prior to shipping. For customers that do not have a designated service, we will be happy to assist in finding a local delivery company and installer.

  • The local service may request the safe be shipped to their facilities, where they can receive the safe via dock or forklift, then deliver the safe to your location and install it.
  • The local service may request the safe be held for dock pickup, where they pick up the safe for you from the destination terminal.
  • The local service company may co-ordinate coming to your home or business after you have received the safe, and complete the delivery and install for you at that time.

FLORIDA CUSTOMERS - DELIVERY & INSTALLATION

In-Garage Delivery Process:  

 

We drive to your location with experienced, well paid American staff. We don’t need to e-verify, but if there is a question, we would.

 

Our trucks have no advertising or slogans telling your neighbors what you are getting. We are in the security business and we understand your privacy and discretion concerns.

Once we show up and offload the boxed safe on the pallet, our crew proceeds to:

  • unbox the safe in the garage for your inspection,
  • remove the safe from the pallet,
  • attach any lights or dehumidifiers if ordered,
  • level the safe to minimize or eliminate door swing,
  • bolt safe to floor (additional charge) upon request,
  • show you how to operate the unit,
  • remove the packaging or leave box with you by request.

In-Stucture Delivery Service:

Flooring

 

When you want in-structure delivery service, we are aware of the considerable apprehension of having a heavy item brought in and moved across tile, marble, and wood floors. Our staff is first rate. We have had 19 years to perfect going over sensitive flooring.

 

We have never had to use our 2 million dollar insurance liability policy. In-structure delivery included up to 40 feet of blanketing and plating the floors. Up to 85% of our deliveries involve tile, marble or wood flooring.

 

Steps

 

The basic delivery price includes two continuous steps, combined height of no more than 12 inches for up to 1,000 lbs. For safe weights over 1,000 lbs. a single step is included in the basic delivery price with a height of no more than 6 inches.​​

It is very important that all delivery factors are disclosed by you before we schedule your job. Being prepared, safety of our staff, and protection of your home and property are important to us.

Since 1989, we have accepted the accountability and responsibility of being both the sales and delivery company. We are a full service provider. As a distributor, we have the factory references to back our words. In the era of internet scams and uncertainty, we take the apprehension out of the sales, shipping, and delivery process.
